- We are seeking council approval so we can make an application to the EPA to add on acceptance to receive concrete waste. From the concrete waste we will recover any ferrous or non ferrous scrap metal. The concrete will then be held in storage bays and when sufficient amount of concrete has been received, we will engage a contractor to bring in their mobile screening equipment to process the concrete into reusable material. Augusta Scrap Metal (SA) will be using their existing equipment for the retrieval of the scrap metal - 19m weighbridge, excavators, forklifts and storage bays. We will be utilising the back area of our yard by making 3 x holding bays for the unprocessed material, process material and process material for sale. The incoming trucks will weigh off on the weighbridge, be directed to the unprocessed material bay and then return back to the weighbridge for a tare weight.
