Description

The current IGS-N site located at 112 Cotton Road is looking to expand its operations and host another earth station. The earth station is to be located to the eastern side of the current fenced enclosure. The proposed development details include the following: 1. Inclusion of a new rectangular 2.6m height fenced enclosure of size 30m x 30m on the eastern side of the current compound. 2. Inclusion of a main antenna concrete pad of dimensions 4m by 4m (depth 350mm) to support the 3.7m antenna terminal. 3. Inclusion of a outdoor equipment pad of dimensions 1.8m by 1.2m (depth 200mm) to support the outdoor equipment rack. The outdoor equipment pad will be located within 3m of the main antenna concrete pad. 4. Inclusion of a new rectangular 2.6m height fenced enclosure of size 40m x 22m metres on the southern side of the current compound to enclose the current communications hut as well as backup generator shed. 5. Trenching and the laying of conduits and power and data cabling between the communications hut, main antenna concrete pad and outdoor equipment pad. 6. Additional trenching past the fenced enclosure for the new earth terminal to support future expansion activities. 7. Installation of a 3.7m terminal onto the main antenna concrete pad and install of an outdoor cabinet onto the outdoor equipment pad.
