Description

Demolish existing fence and construct new fence. Proposed new front fence: The new fence will be constructed in a similar style to the existing picket fence, using the same style picket and picket head (windsor), only making the top of the fence level instead of scalloped. The existing fence ranges from 1660mm high to 1850mm high. The new proposed fence will be no higher than 1500mm high, keeping it below the height restrictions for a building permit while still retaining the privacy and aesthetic of the existing fence. Proposed fence to be 1300mm at the low end, 1500mm max at the high end. (measured from footpath/ground level to top of fence, and including the concrete plinth) Proposed fence colour to be white/ off white in colorbond colours. There is to be a pedestrian gate and a sliding driveway gate installed. A letterbox will be built into the fence in a similar style to the existing one. A concrete plinth is to be installed along the fence line and accross the driveway to allow for the gate track to be installed. The plinth will also be used as a non structural base for the fence, helping to level out and create a step down in the fence as the property is on a slope. It is also acting as a barrier to prevent animals entering or existing the property.  Plinth is no greater than 200mm out of the ground (300mm in the ground) Existing fence is to be demolished and removed from site, including the existing concrete plinth. Timber to be salvaged where possible. Site to be cordoned off with safety cones and barrier mesh. (Not blocking safe use of the footpath) A professional service locator will be engaged to locate underground assets before any works begin.
