Notes from Adelaide Lifts;
1. This is a platform lift where only the platform moves on a screw drive within its own walled structure – it is not a cabin lift.
2. The lift is self-supporting, though not free-standing, so requires fixing to the landings and up the mast (mechanical) side shaft (rigid) wall only.
3. The construction of the enclosing shaft and rigid (mast side) wall can be a simple clad and lined timber frame structure. Please see the ‘Reaction Forces’ document for engineering reference. The forces applied are minimal, but of course do exist.
A builder will be engaged to work with Adelaide Lifts in the install of the lift on the premises.
I can provide access to the following documents as required;
1. Specifications of lift and engineering specs
2. House design/floor structure and layout (via Council-supplied house development plan)
3. Works by others required in association with Adelaide Lifts.
