Details of the proposal
The existing tenancy is currently used as a retail shop. The lease has expired and my client wants to propose to change the use of the tenancy to a barber shop. The proposal involves a small scale internal shop fit out, including five barber chairs,reception, waiting area, hair wash basin, product display and associated cabinetry. The works are all internal, with no extension to the existing building and no changes to the building footprint proposed. The only external changes are proposed in the form of shop signage and barber spinning lights to identify the new barber business. I have already gotten written planning advice that we need a planning permit for the signage only.
