Change the existing use to a place of worship, construction of associated hall, and building alterations to the existing clubrooms (toilet facilities) and associated parking, landscaping and fencing

Front Façade and External Works • Verandah and Balcony Repairs: Damaged verandah and balcony posts were replaced due to rot, including the installation of new footings. Handrails, which had also begun to deteriorate, were replaced. • Handrail Adjustment: The timber handrail was replaced with a like-for-like material and raised by 100 mm, achieving a total height of 1 metre to comply with current safety standards. • Balustrade Replacement: The existing rotted timber balustrade with wooden slats was replaced with new balustrade materials matching the original in appearance and composition. • Like-for-Like Material Replacement: All materials were replaced on a like-for-like basis, with the exception of the balcony’s timber flooring. A waterproof membrane was installed beneath the new flooring to improve water resistance. • Repainting: All external elements were repainted in colours consistent with the former palette to maintain the building’s historic appearance. • Roof and Box Gutter Renewal: The roof, flushings and gutters were replaced to ensure proper sealing and waterproofing of both the main building and the adjoining stable. The new elements were finished to match the original – main building was in a red oxide colour and stable in light green. Internal Works • Cellar Restoration: Internal cellar walls were replastered to repair surface deterioration and floor levelled with floor levelling cement. • Bar Removal: The former timber bar was removed due to severe termite (white ant) damage. • Lintel Replacement: The existing deteriorated timber lintel was replaced with an angle iron lintel (75 × 75 × 10 mm). The opening was pre-existing at the time of site purchase. • Ground Floor Repairs: The bar area’s original timber flooring and carpet were removed due to warping and general deterioration. These were replaced with interlocking floor sheets to provide a stable base for new carpet installation.
