Every dataset on DA Leads traces back to a published public source. This page lists those sources, who provides them, and the licence terms they are supplied under, so you can verify where our data comes from.

Development Application Records

Development application records on DA Leads are sourced from public council and state planning registers across Australia. The principal open-data sources are:

Records from other individual council planning portals (in Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory) are factual planning information sourced from public statutory registers. The content of each portal remains © the respective council.

  • NSW property sales information — © State of New South Wales. Suburb-level market indicators on DA Leads are our own derived analyses of public property transfer records; the original records are not redistributed.

Environmental & Hazard Layers

Property score layers (flood, bushfire, noise, walkability and others) are DA Leads' own derived analyses, built on government-published spatial datasets such as state hazard mapping and elevation data. Scores are screening indicators, not statutory assessments; always refer to the responsible government agency for authoritative hazard information.
