Description
The Jamestown Apex Club is proposing to have manufactured and installed five town entrance signs on the edge of town. The club has been successful in receiving a grant for the project, however is required to be completed by June 30th 2021 to receive the funding. The town entrance signs will help establish Jamestown on the map and give the community an added sense of identity within the region for tourists and locals alike. The proposed signage is to be located at the following GPS coordinates on each road. Below also listed is their speed zone Eastern Approach - Wilkins Hwy - Latitude -33.207717 Longitude 138.630719 - 100km/h Speed Zone Southern Approach - RM Williams Way - Latitude -33.219378 Longitude 138.596428 - 100km/h Speed Zone Western Approach - Wilkins Hwy - Latitude -33.204165 Longitude 138.581914 - 110km/h Speed Zone North Western Approach - Appila Rd - Latitude -33.195575 Longitude 138.596245 - 100km/h Speed Zone Northern Approach - RM Williams Way - Latitude -33.185562 Longitude 138.610774 - 110km/h Speed Zone The signs are proposed to be 6 metres from the delineators on the left edge of the road. The front wall of the sign is proposed to be made from concrete 4 metres long, 0.9 metres high and 0.2 metres deep. This will sit on a footing 5 metres long, 0.4m wide and 0.6 metres deep. On the wall will have lasercut lettering of 'JAMESTOWN EST1871' There will be a steel wall behind the concrete wall with lasercut artwork. This is proposed to be 6 metres long, 3 metres high 0.2m deep. This is fixed to a frame that will be made of 100mm x 100mm x 9mm galv dipped RHS with post footings 1205mm in depth and 600m post holes. All entrance signs will have the same basic appearance with the lasercut artwork to be unique for each entrance In attached documents, i have provided a map of the requested locations and also proposed appearance.
